Danielle's Story

Danielle Dupre is an Emmy award winning re-recording mixer and supervising sound editor. A graduate of the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, she initially pursued a career in recording engineering, cutting her teeth among artists such as D’Angelo, Mariah Carey, and Justin Bieber at Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles. In 2012, Dupre transitioned to post-production sound mixing and joined Skywalker Sound, where she has since contributed to over 80 feature films and 20 television series. Dupre’s work spans a diverse range of genres, from blockbuster franchises such as Marvel and Star Wars to acclaimed documentaries, independent films, and film based art exhibitions. Her instinct for storytelling, rhythm, and cutting edge technical expertise has evolved under the direction of Ridley Scott, Peter Craig, David Benioff & D.B Weiss, Park Chan-wook, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Dave Filoni, among many others. Throughout her career, Dupre has earned significant recognition for her contributions to sound mixing. She has received four nominations from the Television Academy, winning in 2021 for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and six nominations from the Cinema Audio Society, winning in 2023 for Obi-Wan Kenobi.
